To play Ovo, you must be able to safely return all your eggs from the enemy camp to your home after they have been turned upside down. On the way out, the eggs are clearly marked; but on the way back, the eggs are reversed, as if no one knows which one is which. Now each player can play with their own eggs or those of other players.

Since the eggs are similar, the best solution is to remember the path of your eggs and also do not forget to outwit your opponent. The prominent features of the Ovo game include strengthening memory, strategy and planning. The French company Zigamic began operating in 1991. Zigamic is an international manufacturer of brain games and board games. The brand's brain games have been translated into 30 different languages and have won various international awards from countries around the world.

Game setup:

For a two-player game:

Each player takes 6 eggs with the same symbol and arranges them in a row on one side of the game board so that the symbol on them is visible. The two rows that form are the camps of the two players.

For a four-player game:

Each player takes 4 eggs with the same symbol and arranges them in a square in one of the four corners of the game board so that the symbol on them is visible. The 4 squares that form are the 4 camps of the 4 players.

How to play the game of ovo:

The game starter is chosen randomly and then the game continues clockwise. On each turn, the player can choose one of these three moves:

Move one of his eggs. There are two types of moves:
Simple move, an egg can move one space in any direction (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) each turn, provided that the space in question is empty.
Jump move, an egg can jump over another egg with any symbol or over an upside-down egg; provided that the space after that egg is empty. It is possible to jump over several eggs in succession. Provided that the spaces between them are empty.
Move one of the upside-down eggs:
When one of the eggs reaches one of the spaces in another player's camp; it immediately turns upside-down and remains that way until the end of the game. When an egg is upside-down, the symbol on it is no longer visible and can be used by any player for a simple move or a jump.

Secretly look at the symbol of one of the upside-down eggs:
In this case, he can no longer move an egg, but only picks up the upside-down egg in question, looks at its symbol without the others seeing, and then puts it back in its place.

End of the ovo puzzle game:

The first player who thinks he has returned all his eggs to the camp stops the game by saying "Operation over!" and then secretly checks the symbols of his eggs:

If he guessed correctly, he reveals all the eggs and wins.

If he is wrong, in a 2-player game:

The game is over and the opponent wins.

In a 4-player game: The remaining players check their eggs and remove all four eggs belonging to the losing player from the game. This process continues until the last player who still says "Operation over!" If he/she doesn't say it, he/she wins.
